THIS is why you don't use FelPro Gaskets...(VID INSIDE, Anti-56K)...
Welp, I went to the Rocky Mountain DSM HP competition at MAC autosports here in Parker Colorado on saturday, and witnessed some awsome Dyno Queens!.
Most notably was this Red 1st gen with a killer setup (you can see in the vid ). Although this guy spent so much money on his setup, he failed to build up his motor with a metal headgasket, and resorted to a POS felpro instead!
His car made 553whp just on boost (not sure exactly how much).
In the vid, his car does fine until he hits the 80 shot dirrect port setup...as you will see...
Enjoy
(right click/save as. 14mb).

Please don't post this link else where. (be nice to me )

Talk about waiting for boost. That f*cker took forever to spool. I bet some people got burned from that. That is crazy!!!

If you watch the VID it's quite obvious...
We also got it confirmed this morning that it was the headgasket...and also ITS A ******* FELPRO!.
FelPro = Paper...
Needless to say everyone (including me) closest to the car got sprayed with collant.

felpro for Hondas are all Metal. At least for the H23 it is. I actually think FelPro makes pretty good gaskets.

Huh. Every FelPro I've ever seen has been a paper/carbon based. It'd be cool if you prooved me wrong...but in this guy's case, it's obvious the paper gasekets should not be used with boost.

Re: (Jdm93civic)
The HG started to go and it probably pressurized the whole cooling system so smoke could come out anywhere in the cooling system.

well the pressure of that coolant coming out, I'm sure is enough to get a good mist combined with it contacting the exhuast/manifold produced all the smoke.
As you can see right before the vid ended...it was squirting out between the head/block like nothing was there...

hehe....not completely true, but their trannies are ****. I don't know of one DSM tranny that has put down over 250whp for an extended period of time without needing a rebuild. The day I see a stock DSM tranny shift reliably past 8K...is the day I die.

Sorry guy's.
I'm sure about 100 other people are copying the link and posting it else where just as I did. The bandwidth has to be insane.
If anyone would like to host it, feel free to do so.

Alright guys. Because of the huge bandwith on the first link, we uploaded it to a freinds server. He has a ton of bandwidth so you should be fine.
