tial 44mm dual spring setup 1.5bar total
apexi avcr solenoid nc
here is the datalog file of the last dyno run (750+whp)

at 0dc, its 1.5bar
blah blah
at 50dc its 2.3bar then tapers down to 1.8-1.9bar at 8trpm.
HELP.
backgrounder,
before wg spring was 8bar, and made only 730whp @ 2.2bar and tapers to 1.8bar
i asked advice from the guru Shodan and as per his recommendation to increase the wg spring to a higher one. which i did. it helped a bit but its still tapers down...
any comments and suggestion to boost to 3bar is very well appreciated.

Try a different solenoid on the AVCR, sounds like it's leaking.
at that high pressure only?
could be aaron...
at low boost levels, boost are kept constant! like 20psi. 20 psi all the way...
but when i reached past 1.9bar, FTL.

just a thought,
if its gonna leak, should it be boosting more? since its on the top port of the gate? or do you mean its restricting the flow? ideally if you put a 12v to the solenoid there is not restrictor on the nc solenoid right?

If that solenoid is leaking or having trouble you will be getting less pressure in the top gate which will make it open at a lower psi. Originally Posted by ralph11sec

I've seen vac leaks do all sorts of weird ****, but if you've got a different boost controller sitting around that you know works I'd hook that up and see if you can get it to hold anything higher.

what exhaust housing on the turbo are you running?
.90 only

We were having the same issue's on my 84mm gsr. Im running hondata s300, we had to target a much higher boost level then what it is really running. My car was holding around 21psi at 7k and tapering to 17psi by redline 9700, we targeted 23-24psi from 7k to redline in the boost by gear section throughout the individual rpm columns. Car is now holding 21psi out. Just a suggestion if you have not already tried that
i thought about that. thats why in the datalog graph, look at the DC at high rpm

Ahh good point, i didnt really pay too close of attention to the graph lol! But, just thought id throw that one out there. Idk what else to think of at this point then, maybe you need a bigger housing?
Honda-Tech Member
id think you do need a bigger housing. If its a Borg Warner unit, maybe the 1.10 a/r housing would help you out
i see. are all bw turbos bullseye as well? im a bit confused.
Honda-Tech Member
i think Bullseye is a performance division of Borg Warner. I see your farrrrrrrrrrrr away but its probably best to call and talk to one of the guys at Bullseye.

never had much luck from the AVCR on high boost, high hp cars. i dont remember, does anybody now what bar map sensor the avcr uses? you simply might be maxing out the map sensor, just a possibility.
had a call from a customer this morning that was having the exact same problems with his avcr, we are getting him into a NLR AMS-1000. its the last boost controller you will ever have to buy. if you cant maintain your boost level with this controller, you know its a mechanical issue with your car.

good one but that controller is just priced insane.
will try a mac solenoid next week. ive been getting some limitation comments on the avcr solenoid.
