Why is my boost spiking?

Im using a home built boost controller, why am I boost spiking? did my controller break?

could you be a little more vauge?

What turbo, what car, what manifold, what wastegate, how high is it spiking?

its a 99 b18b with a garret t3, dsm 450s. stock internal wastegate, and I had a ss autochrome manifold re-welded. Im supposed to be at 8 psi, and its hitting 10. Its socketed, basemapped using uberdata.

What happens if you take off your boost controller? Same thing? what size exhaust?

Im just running the vac line from the turbo and wastegate, and just hitting 4 or so psi. My exhaust is 2.25 the whole way back.
