I'm not selling mine. I like keeping things simple. And it doesn't get any easier than Hondata.

John,, i know the hondata is simple and all but john do you really think a hondata can control a high hp street machine safely. I am still so skeptical of putting it on a high hp vehicle.[/QUOTE]
what do you mean high hp street machine. I think high is 250+ .......or are you talking about 400+ hp cars?

250hp stay with hondat.
400hp and more i cant trust a hondata never seen to many hondatas control over 400hp street machines with large turbo and large injectors.

I am going to try for 350+ hp on hondata and probably 720cc's so we'll see how it goes. I know dr james ran 1100 cc injectors on hondata and said he had a perfect idle.

Hondata has a lot of good points, although in some areas the AEM or other systems may be slightly better. I think the biggest problem people have with the Hondata is having to burn chips, with the other systems you do not have to do that.

Yes hondata can be used on a high horsepower car. Sherbaz has almost 500whp on his, and many others from FL. Its simple, it works, and its reliable.

Hondata is the best thing that I have ever done to my car. I ran stock ecu for a long time , went through some motors and finally hondata solved all my problems. I am running 950cc holey injectors and idle is perfect, thanks to South Florida performance for hell of tuning. Car produced more than 500hp@WHEEL and I drive this monster everyday of the week.. Hondata is awesome if tuned properly.. I wanna thank Doug for his support and sponsorship of this unit and I can't be anymore happier. All the cars that I build now leave my shop with hondata and nothing else. Hondata all the way..

Re: why is everyone selling their HONDATA? (2kbill)
but Art tell me why no racers actually use hondata on usual basis. None i mean not a single 9 sec car uses a hondata that i know of that runs on the tour NHRA or NDRA or IDRC... I think for the price of hondata there are much more choices out there.
For street car hondata cant be touched but for all out it will never end up where it needs to be.
Hondata units is awesome for street but cant it really stand up to say a methanol setup with dual stage injection. 1600cc it has it limits.

Erick Racing's 10 second Civic runs Hondata.
Hondata isn't designed to be an all-out race ECU. I think their target audience is people who want the power of a standalone, but the streetability of a stock ECU.

If you want to tune your own car, Hondata is expensive and more complicated (burning chips, emulator...)
Plus any stage Hondata and OBDII comes close to the price of the AEM.
