Why do this BOV come with washer?

Default Why do this BOV come with washer?

I was surfing through ebay and i come upon this BOV http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33742. Im wondering why do the BOV come with the washers, what does those washer do or function as?

functions as. tightenin the spring on a regular bov via the adjustable nut on top.


that bov doesnt have an adjustable nut. to the washers are used to pretension the spring so it doesnt open as soon. or so itll keep closed so boost wont leak.

Hmm i dont really understand, So all those washers is suppose to go into the BOV? I assume that you can take the top off and put them in? what if there is no washer in there, then it will just leak off all boost?

It depends on the spring tension. Adding more washers = shorter spring = more spring tension. Then you can run a higher boost pressure without worrying about leakage.

just so you know that is not a real turboxs bov, but on the turboxs one the top unscrews so you can put the washers in to make the spring stiffer.
