Default why is datalogging so good?

for standalone it seems like a plus, but why? someone enlighten me 'cause i was looking at hondata and it seems that its only available on the stage 4b; expensive!!! other than what the name implies "logging data", seems kinda unnecessary on a mostly street application.

it's so that you can review what your motor is doing during the run down the track...temp, rpm, boost, yadda yadda
