Default why is 8psi the "limit"?

I understand that at some point the stock injectors "max out".. But I always thought the ability of an injector to flow enough fuel was related to how much horsepower it is producing.. But you also have to factor in fuel pressure..

I know this has been covered before but what is stock fuel pressure? and when u r using a FMU with a 12:1 rise rate, do you add the extra fuel pressure on top of the stock fuel pressure number?

Im running a bosch inline pump, its huge and probably can support more fuel pressure then any of the other inlines out there.. Im also running stock injectors.. Now I have a greddy boost gauge and when I set my boost #'s I like to have the needle exactly on the line of the gauge.. So basically I want to run .4bar daily and then .6bar when racing.. but I know that 8psi is the limit for boost on stock injectors and .6bar is equal to 8.82psi.. When you round it off its basically 9psi..

So say I dyno the car on .6bar and my A/F ratio is good but the problem will be is that im running extremely high fuel pressure, causing my injectors to wear out and eventually cause that nice A/F to change.. Is this right?

would octane boost or ignition retard help make 8.82psi ok to run while racing? id only want to run 5.88psi(.4bar)daily.. And this is all because my gauge reads in bar and not psi, otherwise id be happy with 8..

basically I figured out that My honda ECU is crap and I need a boost sensitive ECU.. I need large injectors so that my fuel pressure can stay low.. but I still do not know what fuel pressure ill be running at with .6bar and I still do not know what amount of fuel pressure really starts to damage stock injectors..

I do plan on getting larger injectors in the future but $$$ is in issue now..

it said above 60psi it can stick or leak. Now assuming 100psi is about the max i would go. Say the minimum pressure you should be at is 40psi, If you take 40 + 12x8 = Assuming you have 12:1 FMU, thats 136psi of fuel pressure. Its been done before although i would not recommend it.

ouch 136psi, so 9psi would be 148psi HOLY ****

is ben still haveing that group buy on RC injectors? Where can I get hondata for cheap.. haha but seriously how do people do it, honda injectors must be bad *** or sumthin cause I know of people who have been running 8psi for over a year..

When I bought my 320's awhile back from RC, I asked him what's the pressure limit I can run with these injectors? The guy says it can take a lot, it just that the volume drops when you increase pressure, assuming your pump can flow that much. **** does that sound right hehe, it might have been something else..
