You pretty much make a plate that has the bolt holes for both the Turbo and the Manifold, bolt the manifold to the head, the plate to the manifold and the turbo to the plate. Just take some measurements and use a drill press to make it

no prob
Do a search though, and DEFINETLY check out http://www.homemadeturbo.com/ (which seems to be up, now), they've really mastered the process
Edit: Nevermind, it's still down

well I'm a little late on this one but I'll chime in anyway.
I used the HF on my setup it's really not that hard you just need some 1/2 plate and some decent tools. I will say that bolting it is gonna be better than a weld. If your weld where to crack (that's a likely place to crack) your turbo would just hit the ground.
Ohh and anyone else who has actually done this, did you port match thte plate. I did, I think it helps.

I use a HF manifold. I bought an adapter plate for $75. Its pretty nice, but the only thing is that it isn't port matched. I think i will eventually port match it. I get full boost at about 4k rpms but i think it should spool faster if it was port matched. bty i use a t25

Re: Who Used A HF Manifold For There D-Series Turbo (Hatchblack)
See my sig. Gary and I use the T25 and the HF manifold for the 88-91 CRX's. We designed a special plate that bolts the turbo to the manifold. It can be port matched and was designed for compressor on the driver's side.
We sold approximately 40 adapters last year, but decided to not make anymore since we are too busy to deal with people in a business-like manner. Sorry, we just cannot handle the e-mail overload of questions, so we thought it was best to let someone else do it.
I get e-mails all the time asking when we will make more. We ARE NOT going to make anymore adapters. Please don't e-mail asking us.
Check the site in my sig for more information on how to use the HF manifold.
Randy
We passed all the custom turbo business to these two groups:
http://www.homemadeturbo.com
http://www.thedropshop.tv
They may be able to help you get an adapter plate.

Just click the bottom link in my Sig. Go to Articles.
The article is called "Junk Yard turbo setup"
I have a section on my ZC, HF, T-25 setup using NO adapter plate.
