who post about obd2-obd1 conversion lights dimming problem
someone on here posted that they had a problem about the alternator not kicking in until a certain rpm after doing the obd2-obd1 conversion. i searched for an hour and cant find the post. its something about cutting one wire????
ttt need to find this post. i know someone remembers it. it was about the obd2 car converting to obd1 and it made the lights dim and get brighter at certain rpm. someone found out that all you had to do was cut a wire..?????

Mine is doing this right now among other things, I thought it was a bad ground but they all checked out. What wire is alt C? Can you go in further detail for me?
actually, if you disable the ELD in the romeditor, it will get rid of this problem too, im not sure the pin thats the alt c....ill dig it up

it has something to do w/ the ELD. for some reason the ecu turns on and off the alternator. before you were able to disable the ELD within the hondata software, i used to have stage 2 (before s200 was out) and i figured out if i disconnected the alt c wire, it got rid of this problem. now its easier to just choose the "disable ELD" option in the romeditor. but if you dont have access to do so, just disconnect the alt c wire, and it SHOULD fix the problem.
no promises though, be careful messing w/ the wiring, if you dont know what the hell you're doing, you can screw **** up quick

yea, obd1 is a16, and 96-98 obd 2 is a19. i just cut the alt c wire and it works perfect now. WOOT WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! constant 14 volts at all times now!! i thought i was the only one with this problem
sorry to be an idiot but just to make sure I dont do anything wrong... I have a 96 ex with the stock harness converted to obd1 using a "chipped p28". Do I cut a19 off the stock obd2 harness or a16 off the obd1 conversion to the ECU??
