I'm trying to find the LARGEST throttle body with the Honda OEM 4 bolt pattern that will be a direct bolt-on without any modifications...anyone know whats the biggest that they make.

you can get the mustang adapter plate from edlebrock and use whatever you want.

The mustang TB adapter blocks off the IACV port, some modifications required.

I am NOT POSITIVE BUT I do believe that is the same as the RPM Services 76mm TB, it is a 78mm opening to 76mm Butterfly.

Most people trying to make BIG HP are going with 3" charge piping so you want to get as close to matching up the charge piping to TB sizing, 3"= 76.12mm I do believe.

Last year I dynoed my old set up with 2.5" charge pipes and a 65mm TB made 711whp with 35psi, Tony1 suggested going to 3" charge pipes BIGGER TB, we had a 70mm TB to go on anyways and the piping needing to be welded. The set up made 714whp with now only 32psi so TB and IC pipe size makes a difference

I also asked Tony Palo what he felt the need for 3" piping was and he stated he felt anything over 400whp would benefit from it BUT at the time I do not thing he had ever tested it or not. Maybe he will chime in

For what it's worth, a 3" pipe flows a lot more than a 3" throttle body. The throttle blade and shaft disrupts the airflow through the center quite a bit. If you're running 3" piping, a t/b bigger than 3" will help, assuming you're making enough power to need it. Also, bends create flow losses. A 3" 90deg bend has more restriction than a 3" straight tube, so even though your 3" t/b won't flow as much as a 3" pipe, doesn't mean there's no need to do 3" piping if you have a 3" t/b. The losses through the intercooler piping as a whole will be less, which will make more power. I run 3" piping on anything over 450ish hp. There's more or less no downside. The amount of time it takes to fill a 3" pipe compared to a 2.5" pipe is so small, it is almost not noticable.

V-SPEC 1

Do you use 3" piping from turbo to TB? or you just use the 3" after the intercooler and use 2 1/2" from turbo to intercooler. Thanks Tony
