Who has experience with Holset Turbos?
I havent heard much of them other than they are traditionally for diesel trucks. A local guy claims to be running one on his GSR and people are saying its making gobs of power on 8psi. I havent seen the thing run so I have no idea, but just curious if anyone else knows anything about using these turbos (specifically I think its like an HX35) on a Honda application.

That turbo is capable of pushing upwards of 600hp. That Holset turbo is equivelent or superior to an SC61. It spools like a mid-sized t3/t4. They come on 94~03 Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesels. A few of us more "thrifty" and resourceful boost junkies have know about that turbo for a good while now. You can contact myself of J.Davis on PM for more info

check out their site... they have been involved in the business of manufacturing turbochargers since 1953. The first being buchi turbochargers for deisel engines. In 1957 they terminated that contract and signed a new with schwitzer for the lisence to manufacturer/ sale of turbochargers.
for more info check out their history page... great info and great products. they are thought to be only oe gas/ deisel application turbos... really though they make a full spectrum of turbochargers from mild to wild... some of the high hp bigger units being designed for 15-25 liter displacement engines . their quality and attention to detail is first rate.

Stunna, I turned Shawn from Lunatec onto the HX35, he sat down at the computer and had one sourced the next day. He's the one who took my SC61/tubular SS mani basemap from Overblownteg's GS-R - which ran rich in boost - and had to add 30% more fuel in boost to keep it from running lean.
