Where are you all setting redline?
Question is as stated.
I have a ITR and am using Uberdata to tune. Redline is now set at 8400. I am just wondering where others are setting theirs. I usually hit the rev limiter a little too soon and would like to move it up to about 8700 as that would allow me time to shift before the fuel is cut. Your thoughts.....
I edited for spelling. Sorry

red line is just after your engine stops making power. i have mine at 9200 now, but you need to take into consideration how durable your valvetrain is.
when all is said and done, since i have full REV valvetrain, when my engine stops making power thats where i will redline.

Thanks, I will leave it alone until I get my tuning closer and get it on a dyno. I probably will stay close to oem as I have a stock valvetrain.
you dont want to bounce it off the limiter...this loads and unloads the transmission at peak torque....if you hit the limiter you dont want it to re-engage...you want to shift...so if your bouncing off it...set your resume a tad lower...so you have time to shift before it resumes....i would'nt venture much past 8500 w/ stock valvetrain....esp since a misshift will def bend some valves
mine is set at 9k, it helps to avoid hitting rev limiter in between shifts, i normally shift ~8500-8700k rpm, but i still make power at that rpm.. if hp peaks lower you don't really need to raise redline.
