I guess thats the part number of the tool from the helms manual, its the BELT TENSION GAUGE, says not to use ANY other gauge cept this one. reason is my belts chirp no matter what I did to them so I want to get this gauge so I can put them to factory specs as far as tension goes and rule them out as the sound (99% sure its a belt).

Could a dealer order this part for me? or am I SOL, I'd rather goto a parts store and pick it up but none have ANY kind of belt tension gauges....

i was looking at the same part a while ago when i replaced my a/c compressor. that thing cost a lot of cash (~$200). i think. hopefully you can find it for a lot cheaper.

you can also use the manual method, with a pullscale and a ruler to measure deflection. Most hemls manuals provide this, like 20kgs and 1cm deflection, etc... i'd rather spend 200 elsewhere

Man let me tell you what I did. I say to **** with torque specs, and to **** with doing things right, so I never do. I tensioned my alternator by hand as much as I could, then I tightened the bolt enough to hold it decently tight. Then I took a long wooden rod and put it on the alternator, got my hammer, and slammed that **** like 8 or 9 times. See, the bolt was on so tight that the miniscule tension of the belt could not pull it back, but not tight enough that my hammer pounding the **** out of it couldn't move it. Thus, I could tighten it as much as I wanted, then finish tightening the bolt. Well, let me tell you something son... my problem is solved. And to anyone who thinks my method is fucked, I'll teach your grandmother to sucks eggs.
