Anyone know of a good place to get a roll cage?? What is the requirements for a 9 second car?? Im from New England if that matters.

 

for 9 seconds u need a certified 10 point roll cage among other things... such as a license, full suit... etc.

 

certification is the most important thing. i've known a few guys that had cages made that couldn't be certified

 

no freaking joke. My cage is full certified to go up to 7.49 after that you need 25 :1 spec which is pretty much a tube chassis setup.

 

whoever makes it for u... make SURE they know what they are doing... if they dont do it right it wont be certified and wont be able to run

Yeah I'd like to know as well. I'm looking to buy one this month.

 

up here you basically get the NHRA rulebook and have your cage built then have it certified at the rack when you get your racing license.
Call Luciano around here, he is the best but he charges %1G per point.

 

You might want to check out S&W Racecars near Allentown PA. We get our cages from them and they are very nice. The guy we deal with (stoke, yes i think thats his real name) is great and can get you anything you need. If they dont have the application you are looking for just set up an appointment and hav ethe car measured. Its no extra charge. I got my 10 point chro-moly cage for 449 bucks and 8 point mild steel start at 109. They are all NHRA compliant
