Here is a picture of the sensor and the spot I thought it went. But it's closed up on this manifold?

the best place to put it in is in the intake charge pipe six inches or so off the tb.

 

OBD-II B16A2 has it in the intake pipe.

 

there is no spot in the stock 99 Si intake pipe. ?

there is 2 holes, but it doesn't look like it is a spot for that sensor?

Can I see some pictures? if anyone has any.

I need this to past Visual Inspection from the Calfornia Smog Ref.

That's because the sensor in the pic is an OBD-I sensor that bolts into the intake manifold. The OBD-II sensor plugs into one of the holes in the intake arm.

 

Yup, obd2 has it in the intake charge pipe. That sensor you've got is an obd1 sensor that goes in the manifold where its blocked off.

I dont see y u can put that obd1 sensor in the charge pipe.

 

correct, this isnt a GSR mani so the sensor isnt there. U Need abung before the TB, like someone else said.

Anyone have a obd-II b16a air intake temp sensor laying around?

 

if you wanna use that sensor..put it right on the intake mani..the one on the right..you can see the spot where it goes. Its more accurate supposedly
