Where do you find AFFORDABLE silicone couplings and clamps???
I know ALOT of you do your own custom kits so Im sure many of you can help me...
Does anyone have an outlet for affordable silicone couplings? I checked road race engineering and I just cant fathome how they can charge so much for these. If it helps, this is what Im in need of:
2.25-2.5
2.5-3.0
2.5-2.5 (x4)
Ill need clamps for each end also...
Any help would be VERY appreciated!

Re: (b18bturbo)
I just ordered from http://www.atpturbo.com transition hoses are $17.50 a piece and straight hoses are $6 a piece. You can choose from blue, black, and i think red. so your looking at $59 + shipping which would be like $8. Clamps there are around 3.50-3.75. Hope this helps i searched for a few weeks and this was the best i could find.
Thermalflex makes good stuff btu t hey dont like to do personal sales, turbohoses has nice stuff but they are pricey.

I actually went with roadrace after all... they have heavy duty clamps that eliminate the need for $8 t-bolt clamps and the combined price was one of the better I found. Not too thrilled about paying $22 for one flipping coupling (2.5-3) but what can I do?

I don't really understand why more people don't use radiator hose...is it just not stylin' enough? I got MORE than I needed (which is alot) for about $25. Transition pieces can even be found.

Re: (ion_four)
maybe a dumb question but how much boost are you running using radiator hose as couplings? I ask cause I am about to buy some couplings from vecco.net. This is the cheapest I've found, including clamps!!
But if radiator hose is good enough for maximum of 15lbs of boost then I'm good.

i know its ghetto, but they are black, come with clamps and only cost $4
that what i am using for now.....</TD></TR></TABLE>
those are extremly prone to heat not a very good coupler. junk in my opinion but its better to ue the radiator hose.

Re: (b18bturbo)
the home depot ones look like baloons at anything over 8 psi. They like to blow up at 10+ PSI under heat.
Radiator hose actually works pretty good, because it's designed for 12-15 psi or so plus high temperature..

Re: (mike1114)
Roadraceengineering.com is actually cheaper than vecco.net
I just went and bought the Nitrile/Rubber couplings. One of the guys from RRE even suggested them on another board. Cheaper and just as good. Plus they sell heavy duty screw clamps that can be torqued to 150 ft-lbs for like $2 a pop! Show me T-bolts for that.

I used radiator hose as a "temporary" solution when I ran out of real couplings. Over a year later I still have not switched them out because they work great. They seal very well, you know how when you go to take a coolant hose off and you have to use pliers to turn and kinda crack the seal because its gets stuck. Well it makes that same seal on charge pipes as well, I have ran 10 psi without a hose clamp before (not by choice) and it did not leak or pop off. 12 bucks bought me a 2.25id hose that was about a 1.5 foot long and expanded to 2.5 at one end and had a 90deg elbow that may be usefull. for radiator hose.

Re: (omahaturbocivic)
Yeah i got some nappa radiator hose that came with some piping i bought a couple weeks ago, during test fit it seemed to hold very well, just kinda looked a little ghetto for my taste. But hey whatever works.

Radiator hose Should work verry good.
Coolant is agressive and Hot and it normaly is under pressure.
Like Lazerus Said round 12 till 15 psi shoudnt be a problem. and its not Expensive
