My boys set up consists of 98 civic coupe, LS motor , JRSC 6psi pulley, DC 4-2-1. greddy power extreme. His best time is a 14.9 on drag radials. i think the car has a lot more in it than a 14.9. just my $.o2 worth.

bad when hot, GREAT when cold. if you live anywhere that gets REALLY hot, it completely KILLS performance due to lack of cooling. when it was cold out, I was keeping up with a mid-low 13 sec RX-7.

Ive been through this before, was gonna get a JRSC, had my mind set on it. Reason I didn't cause 3 grand for making a LS as fast as a gsr is NOT worth it imo. Turbo makes more power and I'm out to prove it, even on an auto. JRSC on an auto is nice and no lag etc.... but just buy a v6 cause thats what its gonna drive like, torque and peppier, but no slam your *** in the seat action goin on

you spent under 3gs and are proud of beating gsr's and itr's with maybe intakes. That sounds retarded and nothing to be proud of. If you were smart you would have bought a 5 speed and turbo'd it and ran mid to low 13's with practically no tuning. Superchargers on imports

of course turbos have more power potential. but an sc has the power there all the time. it depends on what you like. i drove a jrsc gsr and i must say i was impressed. id say running an 8lb pulley on an ls would be pretty sweet. torque all over the place, while with a turbo you still get the nice performance it just starts around 3.5-4k instead of off idle. im going turbo too. just dont knock something just cuz youre not doing it.

Ok mabye I explained myself the wrong way, its not that I hate superchargers but I understand now WHY when anyone on this board EVER asks between the debate or what mod to get they mostly snyly say "::cough:: turbo"
You will net way more torque with an LS motor with a turbo then a supercharger if anyone's worried about the most important thing... torque. Remember horsepower wins coversations torque wins races

c'mon man, like you're any faster than a stock LS... your turbo LS 15.9... with a JRSC and intake, I ran a 14.7 on my first run! That is not just beating a GSR, its also beating many type R's! would you rather spend 4-5g's and get beat by a civic dx? or spend under 3g's and hang with or beat Type R's?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Hey if you think running 14's for $2k+ is good...than by all means be happy. But it's pretty obvious that this guy is an exception. Most people who know how to drive can run 13's on a stock turbo LS. Hell I ran 12's before I built the motor. Root superchargers are good for one thing....torque below 3000rpms.

I had $1700 in my CRX, including the cost of purchasing it, when it was still a slow 14 second vehicle. For $2K+, please lower that figure by two seconds. Thank you.

Really? I thought they did a good job killing intake harmonics dead, acting as a check valve against reversion, and made nice intercoolers in unorthodox setups.
Somebody read my sig and hook it up, pls.

I am not talking about sub 2000lb cars and superchargers. I am comparing a turbo Integra LS to a jrsc integra LS. 12 second stock motor turbo LS's are common, yet I don't think I've even heard of a jrsc LS integra running 12's.
