After how long should I be worried about replacing stored gas? I've been working on my crx for the past 8 months and It's come time to upgrade the fuel pump and do the inital start up. Should I be worried about water seperation?

It depends on where the gas was stored.. In your gas tank out in the sun 24/7 for 8 months? If that's the case, I'd say change it..

 

No the car has been garage kept the past 8 months while, so kept in the dark and cool... Yes the fuel is in my fuel tank... I figured I would try and start it this weekend and see what happens?

 

my car sat with 1/4 tank for over 2 years so when it came time to start it i just added 4 gallons of 100 octane and a bottle of heet to remove the water. car ran fine with that and i have a fully built turbo engine.

 

We've had cars sitting longer then that inside our shop, that fired right up.
