Whats with the smoke?
Hey guys, got a question, let me know what you think.
I got a hatch while a back, the b16 that was in it wasnt taken care of, i was pissed at trying to figure out all of the things that were wrong with it, so I bought a LS longblock for a couple hundered bucks and swapped it in there, then I threw a turbo kit on it with a tune that I've had for awhile. Here is what it is doing...
It feels good, spins 3rd gear with a gsr tranny. But when I let it idle it will smoke a little, when i go to take off again, a ton of smoke comes out, only when I'm going from idle for a little while (like if im at a stop light).
I can't really say what color the smoke is... I havent seen enough smoke to tell what is white and what is blue (to me it looks whiteish blue...) It doesnt smell like anything if that matters.
Also, on the highway its fine, but if im in traffic or at a place that has a stoplight every block, my car will overheat.
So what do you guys think? I know I probably need some headstuds and headgasket, think that would fix all of this problem?

Re: (irishflame27)
Yeah I hear you, I know this kind of stuff will probably be hard to diagnose like this, but i figured it would be worth a shot. I did a leakdown test on it and it tested out pretty decent actually, I was surprised.
