my turbo timer is also like a volt guage, its shows the volts, but what is the purpose of it? i know some people have a volt guage in their car, but why?

some people use it to monitor their a/f...a certain O2 sensor voltage=a certain a/f ratio. Im sure theres other uses but thats one of them.

 

Your fuel pump needs the proper voltage to supply your engine with fuel. Voltage is an over looked thing that is very important. Also, good grounds!

It's good if you're sitting for awhlie listening to the radio.

Also, the formula for your fuel injector pulse width is modified by the battery voltage. A properly charged battery means your injectors have better transient response, to say nothing of better ignition performance in general.

Trickle charger is a good and overlooked investment.
