The piece under the actual turbo. Sorry if it's a noob question. I just don't know the actual name of the part.

I think you can see it beter in this pic. It's kinda rusted and I wanted to know if I could replace just the part. I may try to sand it down and clean it up though.

sounds like your talking about the exhaust housing.....the part with the 4 bolts that bolts to the manifold? if so you can clean it up.

also, you have your wastegate bolted on backwards.

Question: please research before you buy!

I didn't buy it. A friend who had his Rsx stolen gave it to me in this condition. I'm really just trying to make sense of the whole kit. I'm going to need new gaskets for the kit, a downpipe, and most likely some other miscellanious stuff. How would you suggest I clean the kit up, as well as the exhaust housing? I don't have the kit here at school with me, but can someone post a pic of how the wastegate should be mounted? BTW, this is my research!
I will most likely be taking the kit to Evans Tuning to have him work in it. I know my way around cars, I'm currently in school for Collision Repair and Honda Automotive, but I'm not going to risk blowing my engine due to my first time installing a turbo kit. I do that on a SOHC EG Civic...

that might work of you live in Arizona, but out here in East Coast, it has to be coated or it will rust, simpy cleaning the rust off wont work, it will be rusty again in a day or two.

Evans is like 20 minutes from my parents house. I really just want to get the kit cleaned up and organized before I go down there, so I have a good idea what I'm going to need. Thanks for the help .

I'm guessing that too. But [freak] it, I got it for free, I'm going to use what I can from the kit and just piece together the rest. I just sold my Accord for $6200, so that's how much I have to blow.
