Im about to purchase a Hondata unit, and the dealer is giving me a good price but on making me my basemap he only asked me
1 what engine code
2 what ecu
3 what size injectors
4 what MAP sensor

now it seems like those 4 things are kind of vague, being my motor is decently built, are all basemaps written off these parameters?

 

Yup, that's all the info you need to make a basemap. You will still need to take the car to be tuned. The basemap is just to let you start the car and drive it to a tuner with the bigger injectors installed. You probably dont want to boost the car at all with a basemap.

My buddy had Hondata give him a basemap for his all motor with 440's and it would not even run, we had to turn the FP up to about 80psi for it to run... so yeah we trailored it to the tuner
