What's this bolt?
My friend said that you can tap this bolt for an oil feed line. Is this true. If not what does this bolt plug up? The brass one at the upper right of the GSR head.

i know that you use that hole for the oil supply to the head on ls/vtecs, but other than that im not sure what it is for.

DO'NT tap oil from that point for your Turbo oilfeed line..!!!!!!!
My frend made the same mistake with his DRAG gen III b18c6 (eurospec)
When your vtec is activated the oilpressss wil drop on that point and can't supply sufficent oil for the turbo!

tap the block for oil feed at the oil sending unit, it is next to the oil filter with a boot covering it
Are u asking where to tap it? or if u can use that hole in your picture as an alternate place?
Just tap it where everyone else does. no one seems to have problem.
someone said taping near the vtec solenoid is not a good source. It doesnt give enough oil presure under normal driving conditions *not in vtec*.

yes this is an oil tap location, but if you are considering taping this for a turbo i would advise not to, a friend of mine did this on a b16 and what would happen is under boost and hitting v-tec, either the turbo or the v-tec was getting deprived of oil, it does not have enough pressure for both, use the line off the back of the block if you are doing turbo
i cant find it but i posted up an explanation of the differant oil locations in question a while back with pictures... to sum it up dont use the port by the vtec selenoid... it gets only a little oil pressure when not in vtec... it gets full pressure only when the motor hits vtec... which u cant have for the turbo,... u need it all the time... personally im using the oil port on the side of the head... under the hole where the oil line goes for ls/vtecs and to the side... iv seen it work for on so many cars and ill get to have a shorter oil feed line...
