what would you do?!
Yay im back on the project
Since the cars apart we have been kicking around the idea of removing the internal wastegate and converting our greddy 18g to use an external wastegate. Im wondering if its even worth it with this turbo though. The reason we need to do something with the turbo is because the block is getting sleeved (found out the #3 cylinder was cracked) and its going to be able to hold a shitload of power. Using a greddy kit would be a waste since it cant even hold over 15 psi with its internal wastegate. Why have a built bottom end with a turbo that cant exploit it?!
If we werent going to use A/C there would be no problems. We would just throw a t3/60-1 and call it a day But right now we are looking for the best solution for the cheapest price along with keeping the A/C. I keep telling my friend to just ditch the A/C but this car is daily driven and his wife and daughter ride in the car sometimes and they need A/C in this hot florida weather!!!

Re: what would you do?! (autoEXturbo)
He is going to buy his wife an IS300 eventually but not for quite a few months. If it was my car, i would ditch the A/C in a heartbeat. Maybe he should just take my Camry for his family (for some reason he wont go with that idea)
Another thing that would be good about piecing together a kit now would be the ease of throwing a bigger turbo on in the future. I mean, once we have the right manifold we can throw on a 60-1 once the car loses A/C.

yep, a nice big t4 60-1 is insane. i beat a sc s2000 this weekend with my b18c1 turbo coupe, he won't be disappointed if he ditches the a/c. But if he keeps it now, to much money to spend twice.
