What would you do.
EF Sedan project:
I have a d16a6 block with JE pistons (stock compression), LS rods, and a blockguard. The Machine Shop did a really nice job on the block. Its all clean and ready to go. Now I have to send my d16z6 head (currently in the car) to the shop and get that overhauled. I have a rev-hard manifold for it, T-3 turbo and and everything. All I need is the piping to be made. So I'll pretty much have a Mini-Me with a fresh rebuilt, semi-built motor ready to be turboed.
Now, there's this guy who's been going to my neighbor's house across the street driving a primered honda with a kit on steelies. He looks kinda hoodish (but who am I to judge). I ask him if he wants to buy some GSR rims I have in the garage for $300 no tires. He says Yeah but he's trying to get rid of b16 swap for $500. Motor, tranny and ECU. He said he has receipts, but after he bought it he dropped it in an older integra, then got "locked up", and now just wants to sell it. I said "Hmmmm maybe we can work something out. Lemme talk to my wife and think about it."
The dilemma:
Stay with the current project. A freshly built Mini-Me semi-built turbo. that I still have to get the head worked on and I have a nice turbo manifold for.
Or B16 with receipts, Don't know the mileage or condition. Could be shady. Probably will cost me the GSR rims + a couple hundred buck. But a stock B16 with turbo will most likely be more powerful that the above project. Just have to sell the d16 manifold and get a b series manifold.
What would you do.
