I have a 98 civic ex and would like to turbo charge it. it will take me about $2500 to built the bottom end, head and ready to boost it. so I'm thinking if I'm going to spend another $2500, y not buy a JDM b16A2 or a H22A then boost it. so here is my options:
1. build the motor I have now then run 12 psi or more
2. buy a JDM b16A2 boost it 7 psi ,then save money to build the bottom end
3. or go crazy getting a H22A and boost it.
which one should I go?
I just want a daily drive. I don't drag racing or auto X. plus I'm not a rich person

To be honest with you, for the budget you have, I rather do the engine swap first (Bseries) for daily driven. boost is high maintanance and needs a lot of money to back it up, seriously! The 2500 + 2500 formula won't work, it will cost a lot more than that to do it right and will only creates more problems for you if this is your only vehicle.

 

I am already at around $6500 on my engine and turbo stuff...and I do my own work.
