Default what wireset do you have?

what spark plug wireset do you have? im running msd wires not the msd system. i am breaking the prung on the wire that plugs into the dizzy. its weird! i have to keep taking it back to local shop where i got it from to have a new prung put on. any ideas why this is happing? i changed the cap and rotor and still does it.

post up what wireset you have for your boosted motor and any pictures?

i may just change wiresets

oem = original equipment manufacturer

Im using oem wires, no problems here. I think alot of people use them

thanks im very aware of what OEM means and what it is. i was asking what oem used. there own brand or like ngk or something

I'm using the msd 8.5 wires. Never had a problem.

I run NGK and OEM. Both i've never had any problems with.

But, never run the cheap autozone wires.. I hate tuning cars and having the stupid wires falling apart when I pull the plug wires to get to the plugs.


I the OP won't run them, but just FYI for some people how don't want to spend a extra $10 on wires.

MSD are the only plug wires for honda besides oem I have not had a problem with MSD

what the hell is going on with mine. it acutally looks like someone is bending and breaking the brass piece inside the boot. ths happened 4 or 5 times. ill get some pics of what i mean

screw msd wires.. get some cheap ngk wires! trust me.

i run msd 8.5's zip tied to the cap, i have also used ngk blues. luck with both.

That's exactly what happened to me on the dyno. My tuner said he'd never seen OEM plugs (like from an acura dealership) come apart, but I could get NGK blues and they would be just about as good.

thanks for the link. ill probably get a pair because i have no idea whats going on with my msd wires.

Something isn't right then. Can you get any pictures of the brass connector before you put it on the distributor and then and after shot?

Actually, I think they are. I have heard that Sumitomo Electric makes the wires for NGK.
Also, some stock Honda wires say NGK on them
