Default What the? Weird random partial throttle woes...

Setup is in my sig, tuned on crome with DSM 450s. Car has been running well since I've had it tuned back in November. Last night I drove the car through freezing rain/snow and when I got home I noticed that it was idling kinda funky. I didn't really think anything of it until today, when I noticed that the car kept spuddering everytime I got near letting off the throttle or anywhere near 20 vacuum.

I watched the wideband and it read a solid 10.0 which was followed by the spuddering and choking and bucking. Since the wideband only reads to 10 it's probably even lower.

WOT is fine at 11.7, and engine breaking is at it's normal 19.9. 10-5 vacuum is normal.

I *believe* the person who tuned my car has the closed loop activated, so I'm thinking the primary O2 is bad... but I'm not sure.

Any help?

Best bet is to contact your tuner

I have seen crome run the car rich at random, but never that rich.

That's exactly what the problem is, the car runs really rich at partial throttle and low RPMs, at idle the exhaust tone completely changes. It doesn't do it immediately, but it starts as soon as the car warms up.

I'm going to retune the car tonight so we'll see what happens...

Welp it turns out that my initial thoughts were correct. The primary O2 sensor died so everytime the car went into closed loop the AFRs took a complete ****.

Had to retune the car because the first kid who tuned me never gave me the map. But we're in good shape now, car runs much better than it did before.
