I always see ads for lightweight valves and retainers and stiffer springs for B-series VTEC heads. But what about the B18B non-VTEC? Can I use springs/retainers for a VTEC head on my non-VTEC? I bought a bare (only has valve guides and seats) JG Pro Series head that I have to populate with valves, springs, and retainers, but I'm not sure what components to select. I realize that I'm going to be RPM-limited by the nature of the floating rocker assemblies, but I wanted to try to maximize my RPM potential by going with lightweight valves/retainers, and stiffer springs. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
