Re: (pip9)
you have 3 choices:
1) turbo intake
2) exhaust
3) screw the PCV and run open loop
the top of your wastegate isn't even a vac source. and neither is the IM (in boost that is).

Re: (ndogg)
i'm planing on runing open loop, but i want a vaccum source to clear out the crank case, i plan on running it like this
-pcv ditched, old pcv to catch can, crank case to catch can, one way valve on top of the catch can so when crank case over comes vacum it can blow out, and then catch can to vaccum source
i was thinking exhaust but what would that consist of, just drilling a hole in my downpipe and puttin a barbed fitting in there, i tired to figure this open loop thing out but i keep gettin lost everytime i think i have the hang out it, how would i set it up on an h22a turbo. thanks

Re: (b16hybridsol)
I've checked for vacuum before on the a mufflered engine. It won't be enough to constantly pull vacuum.
Most of the time it was reading atmospheric on the vacuum gauge and you could feel the positive pressure pulsing out of the vacuum line I had hooked up. Under load, it hit maybe 3" Hg of vacuum once the whole time I was driving around.
I'm tempted to put a Moroso vacuum pump in the empty AC spot.

Re: (IN VTEC)
man this sucks, ok, my t3/60-1 doesn't have a vaccum source one the turbo, so say i drill a hole in the compressor housing and put a barb fitting there, and use that as my vaccum source

Re: (b16hybridsol)
so you will have 2 places from the crank case (a hole made by you) and the stock PCV location going to the catchcan. to make things simple, just let that go into atmosphere and change your oil regularly! that is my plan. DON'T drill your comp housing. that is not a vac source! it is a BOOST source. to make the exhaust into a vac source, you will need to angle the pipe so that the flow of the exhaust will create a vac on the hose.
