Re: what turbo for B16? (1990ef)
Please be specific with a power goal, purpose and use for the car. Different turbos have different characteristics. Please don't start a "poll" of who uses what. There are an infinite number of combinations. Research online with other people with parts and goals similar to yours and start checking them out. Otherwise, this is a waste of time.

In order for you to be a 2.0 litre b16, you'd have to have at least 89mm stroke, which will not fit in the B16 block. The Best you can get is 1.8 litre with that block due to the deck height. I hope you didn't count on that number from someone telling you it is a 2 litre.
Now. Glad you stated it was 500hp. Is that crank or wheel hp? And yes, it does make a difference. Do you want T3 flange? T4?, Journal bearing, ball-bearing cartridge? Do you know the difference? What chassis are you using? that will determine which sized compressor housing you can use.
Budget?
Never use an E.T to determine need. Go by a horsepower level to the wheels. You do not have to go with an expensive GT-R series turbo to do this power. Is this Drag-racing only? or is this for an additional purpose?
