I am going turbo on my 92-95 hatchback and I am going to run 6psi on an 18g...I have a d16z6 motor should I stay with my vx tranny or go with an ex/si tranny??? I searched but there were no posts like this....Also could you tell me why whichever tranny is better...I am also going to run road course...

There is no post that says "is my VX transmission better than an Si transmission," however, there are plenty of posts that discuss optimum gear ratios for turbo cars. You just have to know what you want.

With shorter gears you're going to sacrifice top speed and quiet highway drives but you'll gain acceleration. With longer gears you'll accelerate more slowly. Blah. Long gears suck.

Why do people say use a cx or vx tranny on a turbo car then what does ithelp?

 

People think it's better because you spend more time in boost and less time shifting gears which results in turbo lag. Well, as long as you don't let off the gas your RPM will stay up and you wont see much lag at all.
