i need to know at what temperature is the engine block and head on a b18c1 with jrsc or without jrsc????
because i'm looking to spray paint my engine block and head , but this new special paint is only good to about 250 -300 degrees farenheit!!!!
do you think that since it runs with a 160 degree thermostat, that the engine exterior case temperature is much higher than that??????
anyone care to measure their engines casing temp with maybee a digital thermometer or pyrometer???? ny car is already stored for the winter!!!!!

That's not goin to cut it. There are special paints made for engine blocks/heads.

??? you really think that an engine block goes above 300 degrees farenheit!?!?!?!?

You're going to need higher temp paint then that. More like 1200-1500 degrees.

it wont flake , the worst itll do is fade!!!!
i currently have it painted with automobile paint ( 2 years) and it did not flake!!!!
it only faded a little bit, currently looknig for a better clear coat!!
just need to know around what temp?!?!?!?!
