Default What should i use for fuel delivery before the hondata install and tune?

It may be up to a week or two between turbo and hondata. Ok heres what ill have available:
vortech 12:1 fmu (came w/ kit I bought)
walboro 255 pump
rc 440 saturated injectors
vafc
aem 1:1 fmu
Im thinking of not using the vortech. Installin the 440's, aem, and walboro, using the aem to set my idle. Will i just run super rich until i can get it tuned, like how rich? I know its not great for power but is this at all dangerous? Can I use the vafc to slightly lean out the mix w/o the hack?

why not wait out for the hondata. save yourself labor.
run a 6:1 FMU with the 440's for low boost.
do u have the high pressure walbro?

do you have another car you can drive for that week or two? You are in cincinatti...did you get your hondata from me? Just install the hondata, and get to the tuner...stay out of boost.

The stock ecu wont be able to idle the 440ccs. and your car will probable wont be driveable. I put in my stock ecu just to see what happens, and the idle jumps between 300 rpm and 4000 rpm. just plug in your hondata if you have a basemap and just stay out of boost, that is what i had to do.

As far as i know, most run the Walbro GSS342 255lph-High Pressure fuel pump. That is the one Viren sold to a lot of people.

Alright did some research and Hondata does not recommend fuel pressure that exceeds 100psi. But i believe most peoples fuel pressure is around 40 idle

On the hondata website, where it talks about injector sizing and fuel pressure. It is basically speaking against things like vortech fmu's which raise fuel pressure. It speaks of the inneficency (sp) of high pressure, i took that to mean in general. Heres he link:http://hondata.com/techfuelpump.html. "As the fuel pressure rises, the volume of fuel the pump can flow drops. " I took this to mean stay away from anything high pressure.

Yeah that is what i read the first time i went to the site then i reread and understood. the FMU raise the fuel pressure beyond 100+psi!!! on the stock FPR, and that is what they are trying to say stay away from that and come buy our products But with the GSS342 and 440cc you will have a fuel pressure of about 40psi which is nothing to worry about. You had me going for a little bit, i thought i ordered the wrong one

Passen in Columbus? I have only heard negative things about the guys there. I have never dealt with them directly. I have been told by friends in Columbus that they are not experienced with Hondas and if history is any indicator you'll be treated like the doormat you walked in over.

You are in Cincinatti, have you talked to BASZ? They have a car (400some HP turbo Type R) in the newest SCC. Also Coletti (in Centerville) is a good choice (pricey though).

I wouldn't drive 2 HRS to have Passen do it unless there is some other persuasive force guiding you there (i.e. they are doing it for free, you know someone there, etc.)

To clear up the confusion, The Walbro 255 High Pressure is fine with Hondata.

Basz doesnt have a dyno and they dont work w/ hondata. That R is not nearly the baddest car in their stable, they have a black hatch whitch is a work of art. That said, I wouldnt let them touch my car, just my .02. I dont mind paying for good work, do u have a # for Coletti. Can they tune w/ a hondata?

There you go. You can order it from Viren or from lightning https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=298292, or from http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/

I have never dealt with them. I used to do a lot of work with Gred at Coletti, but then he quit and moved on and I haven't been in contact with them much since then.

(937)-312-1533 is their number.
