what should be changed to hit a 10.9?????
Ok, a friend of mine has a built b16 stroker
deminsions are 84.5x89. yeha, shitty r/s..this is not the disscussion though!
has around 8.4:1...yeah, super low, also not the disscusion
it's the crower kit, has stage 2 crower turbo cams, crower cam gears, Edelbrock manifold, 70mm tb, 550cc injectors, aem ems w/wideband and soon to be with egt, rev hard stage 2c kit, z10 traction bars, 96 spec ITR brakes with H&R suspension, 24.5 slicks, NX N-tercooler spray bar, full interior, and some other small stuff
ok, his goal is to run a 10.9. As of right now we have it tuned for 13psi, and will be upping it within the week. It feels REALLY strong..but his injectors, intercooler, and turbo have my worried about efficency. The injectors WILL be maxed out soon..and i feel that the turbo and intercooler will go with it. (efficency that is...they are in perfect shape)
I told him that a larger turbo, at last 720cc (maybe bigger...), and a better manifold will help out a LOT.

dyno the car and run it at the track to get some baseline #'s then we could make a better decision on what to be changed. you will need about 450+ at the wheels give or take, depending on suspension setup...and weight of the car.

First off with that compression plan to be running 20+ psi on pump gas.. 25+ with race gas.. That will get that thing moving.. What turbo comes with the 2c? The manifold will probably be ok and try putting an temp probe on the intercooler outlet to see if its cooling enough.

well, the intercooler is going away, i told him he needs a better one
the manifold...well...other than being port matched...it's stock..and i told him it should be gone too.
and the turbo, can't find the exact specs on it. i was hoping someone on here might know. But i'm allready thinking it's time for an SC61....
yeah, the compression is low...and the wristpin is HIGH, and the r/s...well...we won't talk about that. But, it has gone 4k miles in his Si..and it runs good. So...for now..this setup is what he's got.
Jason was tuning it...and with 13lbs...goddamn...that thing hauled ***. I was SERIOULSY suprised.
