what piston to wall clearance?
I have recieved my SRP pistons and after reading the information enclosed it says that all import piston to wall clearances should be .0015 - .002 with there pistons, but and addition .001-.003 shoudl be added for marine, drag race, nitrous, and forced induction
what clearance should i run?
my setup is
d16z6
srp 9:1 pistons
ls rods
block gaurd
greddy turbo / intercooler
450 dsm
AFC+
walbro 255 intank

it all depends on the silicone content on the pistons, I am not too sure of the SRP, but .0025 sounds about right....
stock are .001, I ran .0035 on my wiseco, and piston slap are about 15 sec after cold start up

Not sure where you got your specs for SRP recommended clearence, but according to their site at http://www.jepistons.com/pdf/2002-srp-tech.pdf they recommend as:
MINIMUM clearance: .0022 to .0028
and for him:
Turbo +Additional: .0005 to .0010
----------------------------------------------
Final FI clearance .0027 to .0038
I use .0030 for turbo SRP. Little on the tight, but still dead nuts in their proper spectrum. They do not recommand .002 for ANY apps and .0025 is tighter for any FI they recommend.

I got it from a spec sheet ona set of SRP pistons I sold. ANd according to your research, you stated a good clearance would be:
.0027 on that set...on the sets I saw, it said .002 not .0022.
So its all relative.
