Mike, how long have you been running Pennzoil? (Not busting on it BTW) I have torn down 2 engines that used pennzoil and both had a yellowish orange tint on basically every component the oil touched. I am not saying that it was bad or good just curious if you have torn down an engine of your own and found this as well?
Phil
ps. sorry for being off topic.

a guy at work was telling me that he uses castrol 5w50 in all his cars and has never had a problem with it.. he recommended that i use it also on my car but i was unsure if it would be good for the built motor and turbo..
does anyone have any input on it? btw, he uses it on his turbo diesal, 94 acura legend, and his expedition

Valvoline Racing 20W50...also helps that I got a crapload free
But yea it works well on turbo'ed applications. Ive tried synthetic and just comes out too thin and i would guess cause lots of friction

I would agree with above, I've been using mobile1 10w30 switched to mobile 1 15w50 and still came out to thin. So I'm going to try castrol part synthetic and see how that works out.

Anyone used that Mobil1 synth 0W-20? They list newer honda/acuras and turbo engines for this to be used in on the bottle, although that's probably marketing

Not completly sure, but I can't see it doing any in depth damage to my engine. Maybe someone will chime in.
