Default What is the max. piston velocity?

If I have a fully built bottom and head is there a theoretical max. piston velocity? I will dyno tune my car and see where the power drops off, but I want to make sure I don't over rev it.

check out the link below. I started it because I wanted to switch from an LS cranked 83mm B18C to a B16A cranked 83mm B18C, basically making it into a 83mm B18b. IIRC piston speeds with b16b's are a lot slower then say an LS or LS cranked GSR because of the RS ratio, or maybe it's just the rod length, I cant remember.

Wouldnt you need to know the mass of the pistons?

Dont think so, isnt it all about the length of the rod and size of the crank. From there you work out the velocity ratio and so forth??

stroke and rpm are the only factors you need...rod lenght is irrelavant and so is piston mass.

I did however forget the formula...google it

I already know how to calculate piston velocity. That's not the problem. I don't know what the max velocity is.

I just wanted to know if there was a max piston velocity so I can carefully maximize my engine.

If no one knows then maybe someone can tell me what is the max rev on a B16 is so I can reverse engineer my answer for the F series motor?
