what manifold options are out there for the 18G Greddy turbo?
#26
Ya duh t3 18 psi>t25 18 psi...Like I said I wasn't sure about the CFM..Post up the LB rates. but anyways, I seriously doubt 400crank or say 350 whp is doable on the greddy kit..the turbos themselves just will just lose efficiency..compressors wheels spinning so fast that they can't suck in enough air per revolution. it's called overworking a turbo and you know it's what can cause failure...
And cool about that exhaust housing...would like to see one of those.

Re: (ILLICON3000)
yes getting back on track....
yes the apexi turbo is a IHI turbo but it does happen to use the t25 flange.
I know cause i'm running the apexi IHI turbo with the hks manifold.
the 15g is good for about 12psi before the wg starts major spiking. Also it's good for about 250whp & not much more.
the 18g is rated at about 350-375whp. (400hp) That allows great responce and spool time. but once you start hitting the 340whp range thats when a larger turbo would mostlikly be more efficent.

I'm currently hittin 300whp @12psi. with my greddy. I plan on changing out the intercooler piping and going with 3" exhuast and doing 14 psi. Hopefully i hit 350. I made the decesion to make my own manifold. I have the resorces, i might as well put it to use.

An 18g will do 400whp. It WON"T do it with the stock internal wastegate as it can't regulate/hold boost that well. Throw on an external and call it a day..

Re: (whackassfawker)
my 18g holds 1.1 bar at the track no problem...my af ratio is in the 10:1 range and I still traped at 116mph with a 2600lb car....that sounds like 300whp to me and leaning it out and tuning it the turbo is capable of 350whp.....also DSM guys are boosting these turbos to 22psi range and it is still efficient
