what header is good for a blower besides kamikaze?
i've got a 98 itr here at the house (wifey's) that has a vortech blower and kamikaze header. The welds at the flange to the head are cracked on ports 2 and 3. So I need to pull it and have it (hopefully) rewelded.
Is there another header that's good for use with a blower, that maybe doesn't have such shitty build quality? This is her daily driver and little issues like this are just a pita!

Just get something with a big collector. Most quality headers out there are made for NA, so they will be optimized for velocity to enhance scavenging. Most header builders design and build for this effect, which is very important to a NA motor. For a SC'd motor, you want something big and unrestricted, the blower will take care of charging the cylinders.
I had one custom made by a welder at a local shop, using a $83.50 merge collector ( http://www.headermania.com/mm5...RSPMC ) with big/short primaries to a 3" collector to a full 3" exhaust. I made 275 WHP at around 6.5 PSI from my JRSC, so I guess it worked okay.
The welder welded it from mild steel tubing, so it was inexpensive and the workmanship is as good as my local welder (which is pretty good). I had it sandblasted and did a DIY ceramic coating to cut down on heat and prevent rust.
