dented header....?!
i have a gsr with i/h/e, the header specifically is a 4-1 racing so clearance is a terrible issue, i was told by a friend that if the header scratches the floor causing a dent on it, theres also a bad side that the motor might mess up as well?, or is it just the header being damaged? i kno that the dent will hinder some power. I shrug my shoulders...help with some answers?
When you dent a 4-1 badly, you dent the bottom and the backs of the pipes emerging from the head. Heck, this guy discharged his airbags:

yah man...i remember looking at that thread...ouch!...but ya, any possible harm done to the engine with the header just being dented.
yah..that y ive been really slow on dips and what not, good thing im getting new headers very soon. and a skid plate or some type bottom shield.
thats what i thought, when my friend told me that, thanks
....btw any one know of a universal type skid plate for like 4-1 headers, or the expensive tri y headers that are being produced now?
