Default What head gasket to use please help...

Ok guys my car runs fine...you have all seen my dyno results, but the car still runs extremely hot. I am thinking it is the head gasket. I have a COMETIC head gasket. It is pretty think at 57 thousanths thickness (not sure I spelled that right). I want to use a GE but the obvious is that I dont think they make head gaskets this think since they are just using a stock head gasket.

People say that COMETIC is not a great head gasket and probably the cause of my overheating. I seen that other post on here not too long ago about it.

I have a new radiator, a new thermostat and a new fan. Waterpump is a type r that has 15K on it. Only thing we can think of is the head gasket.

Any other brands anyone knows of?????

Need this done ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks.

not to be rude.. but is it tuned?

after the new HG?

was the WB02 (if used) calibrated in clean open air?

sounds like you might just be running a little too lean...

I have never heard of a perticular headgasket causing heat issues before.... especially cometics... I only hear about people that blow out the thick ones, and the ones they double-stack...

Have you ever blown a headgasket before? Maybe your head is warped if you didnt resurface it before you put it back on. I have always used stock and have never had any problems. It also is possible that the hot air is building up in your engine bay and cant escape. Try Proping the hood in the rear an inch or so with spacers it usually helps. Also try using an aluminum rad if your front mount completely covers the bumper and also add Redline Water wetter to your coolant. This can usually drop temps. a decent amount.
