lol
Power wise, you can run 9's with 600whp. Your question is kind of vague.

i beg to differ, as far as hooking up goes yes it would be difficult unless you have a great clutch, traction bar,lsd setup then it would just take great driving.
as far as making the power if you have a LOT of money to invest in the best turbo and motor parts, the rest is just fine tuning everything.
but you would be looking at, at least 5k for a turbo kit that will get you relieable power and fast power.
probably 10k in sleeves,pistons,rods,rings,bearings,retainers,valv es,springs,ect
at least 15k+ to have a reliable steady 10 second motor.
then you need suspension modifications that will hold up under than much power. great slicks. ect
it takes alot more than just power to make 10s, its the details that you miss when thinking of going big!

That's where I was pointing my answer towards. I figured I would let him do some searching instead. Again, with a properly dialed in suspension set-up it doesn't take a billion whp to run 9's.

yea definitly people have this idea you need 800 whp to hit 10s, most ppl with 350whp in a civic can hit 11s, it just takes a good ammount of money to get those kinda numbers, and relieability has to come into play also, cheap parts will yeild you cheap power resulting in **** breaking constantly.
but to understand one thing is to understand a sleeved, forged internal block alone isnt cheap, sure sleeves are 100% needed depending on your goal however if you are looking for a safe 600+whp then sleeves are your friend!!

Re: what does it take? (PrecisionH23a)
local tuner says he thinks he can brake into the 9s with only 400 whp
he has a lsvtec piston rod set up with 380 whp and runs 11.30s consistant on 13lbs and pump gas

It's probably that Tony1 guy.
Seriously, what class does he plan to run that in? Not in sfwd. Get a car light enough and anything can be possible.

I second that something gutted with no dash, heater core, lexan glass, full fiberglass front end, ect you can get a very light chassis, and with 400whp im sure you could do it, but not alot of ppl do it

Re: what does it take? (lsvtechatch92)
there are alot of guys who have high powered cars that cant even break 10 seconds flat, its not easy to do.
you have to have good traction, tires, suspension, clutch, ect
