eBay clutch? I'm sure there is a reason they are cheap...

My ACT xtss clutch has worked great for 2 years and I beat the **** out of my car. I launch off my rev limiter when I am at the track on slicks, I do lots of burnouts, I power shift. The thing still grips like it's brand new.

I wouldn't want to cheap out on something as important as a clutch.

Exactly. I am a cheap bastard, but I know when it's a good idea to spend the extra cash. That's why I went with an ACT clutch and Quaife LSD. I'll let everybody else test out the eBay clutches and OBX lsd's.

My buddy used one in his D16. He got it for 100 and it only take about and hour to replace a clutch with 2 people so we gave it a try. It had some bad chatter when letting it out at low rpm's but the grip was actually pretty good. BTW it had a 75 shot on it for a few months and the a 100 for about 6 runs at the track. It was holding a 125 shot 3/4 down the track with no problems. the motor blew before the clutch would slip. So I would say if you dont mind some chatter it is a good clutch but I would feel better with a name brand one. And hes we knew the motor was going to blow, he was going back into service for the army the next week and wanted to see the limits of his D. It ran a 14 flat that run coasting with a blown motor the rest of the way down the track. Not bad

I have been running the stage 3 for almost a year now. I have no problem so far. I just dynoed my car this past weekend and made 283whp and 206 ft-lb. The clutch held. I will retune to make more power in a couple of weeks. We will see if it holds for more power.

i don't see what hte problem would be....for the most part, a clutch is a clutch.

i've had exedy, act, clutchmasters, action, and cheao custom ones from a local guy. the cheap local one actually suited me better than any of the rest.

more than likely, if i can't come out cheaper getting one made, i'll deff run an ebay clutch in my next build.
