This is a bit easier.. Welds on the IC seem a little sloppy to me, but I've never done TIG, so I'm not a good critic. Manifold looks good, but for that price, I think you can do better.

Look into full-race products for about the same price and much better quality.

 

full race is way out of my price range.... lord knows i would love to get one but i dont have that kind of money....

 

I wouldn't think the air could flow very well in that intercooler with square end tanks. Most well designed intercoolers that I have seen have sloping or rounded edges designed to make it easy for the air to get to the outlets.

 

those welds look like ****! on the ic . The manifodldont look bad.

 

Man I wish you guys tried tigging, it is so ******* hard. Its not like your conventional mig welder.

im not disagreeing that its hard, but to pay good money for quality like that .
the guys that have mastered the art are making good money and are well known for a reason

The manifold looks ok, but the intercooler looks very crappy. Those welds are horrible and the square endtanks are not good to use. How much is that in amarican dollars?

 

i guess you get what you pay for.

but the ic and manifold both should be good enough for low boost applications. the welding on the ic is a bit rough on the eyes though.

Tig really isn't much harder than mig. It's just a matter of practice and getting used to the machine. These guys obviously need a little more practice.

 

I agree. A correctly set up TIG and an appropriate welder can wield good welds. Getting the machine set up properly takes a little time, though.

I could never imagine spending that much money for a mani/intercooler.... I paid roughly 25 bucks for my manifold, and 50 dollars for my Ford F250 Intercooler....
