Default What do u think about this (Hondata Problem)

I purchased a p28 and Hondata S200b from wiredspeed alittle over a month ago.. i got a 450cc basemap from them and it worked great for a while..

This part has nothing to do with the hondata.. After i was done installing everything for my turbo kit i wanted to just start it up and take it around the block and see how it runs and idles.. So im driving and everything seems great.. come back and see a leak coming from my tranny/oil pan area turned out to be a rear main seal.. Took my car to the mechanic and had it replaced the next day.

So i go to pick my car up..start her up and its idling like ****. The motor is flopping around and practically loping as if it had some huge cams.. Im getting a CEL. I look at the hondata interface and see that the light is blinking slowly.. like it would go on for a second then cut out.. on again etc.. So im thinking maybe the chip is loose.. i make it home, push it back in there, and nothing changed. Thinking it could be a problem with my harness , i call my friend up with a 97 gsr and plug the p28 into his car.. same thing.. same blinking light.. So i narrow it down to being either the hondata interface or the p28.. I take it to the local tuner for him to have a look.. he tried out my hondata s200b on someone elses car there and the light was steady..

so ive narrowed it down to the ECU. I open the box and have a look back at my house and there appears to be a burn mark.. a burnt area more coser to the harness on that side as opposed to the chipped side.. Now when i first got this ECU i checked it and saw there was repair made to this ECU prior to me getting it. The SAME area that appeared to have been repaired when i first bought it, is the area that is burnt up. So now im assuming that this area directly affected it to short it out. SO i call up Hondata, ask them what the deal is and he said send it to them.. i sent it via airmail and it will be there by monday..

Has anyone had a problem liek this? What is Hondata , Inc. Typical turn around time.. this car is to be daily driver so i need it back ASAP.. has anyone had any experience with them repairing or sending back a new ecu.. how long did it take
