Colder heat range. If your stock plugs are a 6, then 7 would be the next colder heat range. Colder plugs make it harder for you to detonate.

In the most simple sense, a plug removes heat from the combustion chamber. A "Colder" plug will remove more heat from the chamber than a "Hotter" plug. So for FI applications where the intake charge is very hot, a colder plug is recommended.

Stay away from Bosch +4 plugs... They were designed to work with cars that have high miles and don't run as well anymore. The plug is also slightly hotter then a plug of the same heat range. Also, it's been my experience that Platinum plugs don't work well with FI. At least they don't work well for the new D16Y8 motors. I ended up switching to the F6DC plug from Bosch. It's the copper version of the F6DP which is the one that people tend to run in a highly built NA B or H series and also for high psi FI. The plug is very close to 2 heat ranges colder then the standard plug for the D16Y8 motors.
p.s.
I had +4 plugs in my car and the damn J&S looked like an EQ on my stereo...
