what do I need to do to have a/c this summer?
I have never had working a/c since I bought my turbo teg 2 years ago. Been charged. A couple pics below. I am getting new headers (any recommendations?) because they are rusted to ****. I know there are issues with the size of the downpipe and the a/c compressor. Don't I need a lovefab manifold if I want a 3" downpipe and retain a/c? I will better look at it tomorrow to see what needs to be done. I'm just sick of sweating my *** off, especially being a summer only car.
bump. i know this has been covered many times before, but if someone could give me a quick reply I would appreciate it
your getting new what? you car has only one (header)if thats what you mean. and there are plenty of manifolds and 3"down pipes out their that are a/c friendly.
Well if your a/c compressor is still in, which im pretty sure it is, i think you will just need to install the a/c condensor fan. i believe you will need some sort of slimline fan in order to fit between the manifold and radiator.
so pretty much, install the fan (its only 1 connector with 2 wires, you just cut off and solder the correct wires together from the car to slim fan)
let us know how it goes. good luck.

yes, I believe this was the issue, was that the manifold and/or turbo was too close to the fan so I guess I'll need a slimline fan then. also, anyone have any direct links for a fairly lower cost exhaust manifold that I can use with the 3" downpipe and retain a/c, but won't require much modification or relocation of the existing setup. ie, something that should pretty easily bolt right in. I don't have a shitload of mechanical experience, only car stereo experience.
btw, I am replacing my injectors, as they are still stock and old. wondering what I should get. about 7 psi of boost right now, would like to get injectors that would allow me to deliver enough fuel for up to 10 psi later on maybe. what flowrate should I look for?

BLOX manifolds are cheap and you can get 3" AC compliant DPs for them. I am running a BLOX mani with AC in my LS
