Re: what do 99-00 civic si's run with jrsc at stock boost? (Ruckus138)
about a 15
Back to topic, I've seen Si's run mid 14's with 2.2 second 60' times, and no weight reduction. My GSR (heavier, but bigger displacement) ran a 14.0 @ 98mph, with nothing more than an intake, cam gears (to dial out overlap)and aftermarket muffler. Btw, this was on Toyo FZ4 tires, which aren't the stickiest..... Dyno sheet read 200whp, and 149lbs.
@ 9psi, I ran a 13.3 (g-tech'd).

You have .2L more than a 00-01 SI, and you're only like 100lbs heavier. I think blown SI's run high 14's. So a 15 flat isnt too far fetched.

With a properly tuned JRSC on a b16a should get:
175 - 180whp & 135 - 140wtq.
99 Si weighs 2600lbs..
Anyone that says a 2600lb car with 180whp will run 15.0 is ignorant.
That's a low - mid 14 under the right conditions.
Shoot I've seen 15.0 - 15.2 with just an AEM Intake. That's 140whp & 100wtq... (Under the right conditions)

Re: what do 99-00 civic si's run with jrsc at stock boost? (Ruckus138)
My 99 civic si ran 14.51 @ 95.6mph. The only mods to the car was a JRSC @ 6psi, 3" short ram intake, ACT clutch, shocks and springs. That was with a 2.2 60'. I sold that and and now have a custom turbo setup but am yet to run it but i expect it to run 13.4-13.8. Turbo is the way to go IMO. I've seen some intercooler setups and fast time's with a JRSC but it doesn't seem like it is worth the work or the price of the custom fabrication. If you choose to go with the JRSC use like a 25-50 shot of NOS with it, that will help a lot!!

first off , yes it was an ignorant comment to say a 15.0. We all know it can do better....
but myself, like many are not too fond with "what will my car run questions." More importantly, something so basic as his question. And actually I was being honest, the only bone stock jrsc Si's I've seen run, pulled a 15.4 and a 15.2 at palmdale. Bone stock, no tuning(which wasn't specified in his question).
and as far as g-tech goes: i know many people that sware by it's times(not the mph). the thing is: road conditions. A flat stretch of road is a lot different than a real 1/4 track. What about inclines, this could throw off times by a lot. I'm sure you'd get through the 1/4 a lot quicker if you g-tech'd it down a hill.

To end the question, you will run anywhere from a 14.5 to a 15.5 depending on how well you can drive, the tires, track, weather, weight, tire pressure, clutch, fuel setup, ect.

Doesn't mean they won't run better times uner certain conditions.
About the G-tech. Yes an incline will throw you times off. But if anyone is like me, they use there g-tech as careful as possible to keep the time accurate.
If I wanted to lie about my times I would just lie about me times. I wouldn't even waste my time on finding a downhill road.
When I g-tech I have this same road I test on. Over and over. Flat straight and consistant with all the cars we test.

Last time I went to Fontana Speedway all of the guys with JRSC I asked had been running low 15's. I think one of them had a Hondata but it was just some base map with stock boost. I'll try asking around again this week-end while trying out the new clutch in my car (I've been driving around with the stocker for 10 months). Keep in mind though the Fontana track isn't sea level either, but it's still a lot better than Palmdale considering it's a parking lot
What I believe kills the FMU JRSC racer is how they hit that sweet spot where it's warm enough for their intake temperatures to soar but just cool enough for their ECU to not lean out the fuel yet. Hondata with an obdi IAT cures all though.
