Default What cams to run in an LS/Vtec

I have a 99ls bottom end, with a b16 head. Right now I am running ctr cams in the B16 head. Some people are saying to run gsr some are saying to run type r cams. What do you guys recommend? Forgot to add I am running the drag turbo kit on the motor.

Just use the cams in the engine now. You'll pick up a bit of power with the ctr's. You'll notice that they hold the torque a little longer to redline, giving you a higher peak whp number.

Yeah, your cam's are top notch.

You need to tune the overlap out, though, with a set of cam gears. I'm not sure what the correct settings should be, but a trip to the dyno and a good set of cam gears would make some nice power, if you haven't already.

Otherwise, your boost partially blows right out your exhaust!

I have always heard the GSR cams were best for LS VTEC Turbo. The Big NA CTR cams have issues with the overlap and the GSR would be better suited for that. I'm not an expert, please correct me if I am wrong.
